- I have the Adaptec SCSI chip in my 486DX2-66 system. Currently
- I only have a cartridge tape drive connected but it works fine.
- The manual that came with it has steps on connecting CD-ROMs and
- disks. I haven't tried it (yet).

- BTW, the SCSI chip is a $49 upgrade option. It mounts in a socket
- directly on the motherboard and does not take up a slot. It does
- take up an IRQ spot and a base port address window.
