- Hello !
-
-
- I have a small problem with the latest SLS distribution (thanks for the
- good work). After installing the a3 disk, umount fails because of less
- diskspace: the problem seems to be that the file reboot is installed
- to /usr/bin on the ramdisk (!) instead to the specified partition
- of the harddisk.
- A simple fix is to make a link to the disk before using doinstall:
-
- ln -s /root/etc/reboot /usr/bin/reboot
- doinstall ...
-
- I also have a problem with the mouse under X8514 (x8514new from Oct.20),
- which didn't occur under 0.98p5. After I do a reset my serial mouse hangs
- when I use startx or xdm the first time. This is normally not the case
- after switching on the computer the first time, so this might be an
- initialisation problem.
- After a second start (e.g. by pressing ^C within xdm) everthing works just
- fine. During the time the mouse doesn't work, I can still use the mouse test
- program. So this doesn't seem to be a problem of the serial drivers.
-
- Apart from this minor problem X8514 works very fine (thanks), though a
- support of compressed fonts would be nice.
-
- Another *very small* thing: sysinstall -help still reports the wrong
- option -special C instead of -series c
