  11. I've been trying to get KA9Q to talk SLIP with a machine at work
  12. over a modem, but apparently they don't speak the same dialect
  13. of slip, or the terminal server is interfering.  When I try
  14. to ping from the remote end, this is the error message KA9Q
  15. gives:

  38. I've tried both slip and cslip on the Linux end, with the same results.
  39. Two questions:
  40.  
  41. 1) Has anyone else seen anything like this?
  42. 2) Is it possible/likely I could get a different version of 
  43.    /usr/etc/slipd and drop it into place on the remote machine,
  44.    if in fact slipd is the problem?
