- I would be interested to hear if my new interrupt driven printer driver
- would make any difference to your output. One of the reasons that I wrote it
- was that the existing driver seemed to be dropping characters when I
- used it to print ghostscript files. It is important to get the tuneable
- parameters correct for your particular combination of CPU and printer,
- which is why some people see problems and others don't.

- The interrupt driver doesn't need tuning, and circumvents these problems.
- If you are up to replacing a couple of kernel files and rebuilding, you
- will find it on tsx-11.mit.edu:/pub/linux/ALPHA/lp/lpirq.1.tar.Z
- If not, you'll have to wait until it gets into an official kernel
- release.
