  16. I had trouble initially printing Finale output on our postscript
  17. printers.  We have a Tektronix Phaser III and a SPARC Printer.  Neither
  18. would print the output correctly.

  20. However, when we upgraded our SPARC Printer from NeWSPrint 1.0 to 2.0
  21. it worked!  Looks great too!

  23. The PostScript output from Finale includes the music fonts.  This
  24. requires some new level of PostScript which allows the embedded fonts.
  25. I thought it was either PostScript Level 2 or PostScript with level 2
  26. font support, but I wasn't able to find the reference (I looked in the
  27. NeWSPrint 2.0 release notes).  In any case NeWSPrint 2.0 now supports
  28. this.  I hope you're using NeWSPrint, especially since you work at
  29. Sun!!!  -- If so, upgrade and go!!

  31. I haven't looked into the possibility of upgrading the Tektronix, I
  32. doubt it's possible.  Perhaps someone knows the correct name for this
  33. PostScript functionality?
