  14.    I've been learning keyboards/piano for a year now.  I've been practicing
  15. on a SY55.  I don't want to buy a piano.  They are too big and ya can't
  16. take them with ya to a friend's place.
  17.    So, I'm looking to purchase an 88-key weighted MIDI keyboard and/or
  18. controller.  Some of the controllers that I've looked at don't really
  19. appeal to me, save the Roland A-80 or the newer Peavy DPCM-8 (correct model
  20. #?).  I did try the Korg 01/W ProX workstation.  This was a very nice unit.
  21.    Admittedly, I don't know *what* I'm supposed to look for in a MIDI
  22. controller.  Features, responsiveness of the weighted keys, etc.

  24. I'm looking to invest around $2500.
