- We are getting ready to move from Unix into the world of PC multimedia.
- I have been a little dismayed at the horror stories about quality of
- equipment and support available for the various PC audio products, but
- we gotta make the plunge.
-
- I've narrowed the list of video frame grabbers we're interested in
- to the Video Blaster (reports about Creative Labs quality are not
- encouraging), Actionmedia II, and the Video Spigot for Windows.
- The codec reported to be on the Spigot looks useful, but there's a
- degree of safety in buying into the Video-For-Windows/Actionmedia
- IBM/MS/Intel middle-of-the-road philosophy.
-
- Any comments on which video card you'd choose for development
- gratefully received (and I'm willing to share experiences).
-
- Thanks,
- Dave Wahl
