- They are positively ubiquitous, but I've never seen them offerred in
- any of the numerous catalogs that cross my desk. Does anyone know if
- "generic" mag card readers and writers are available? ie something
- that would hook up to a port on my machine along with a device driver to
- facilitate reading and writing? I suppose this might provide an
- opportunity for fraud. Is this why such equipment is hard to come by?
- If so, that would raise some interesting questions. Like: are there
- laws governing the sale of such equipment? ( I suspect not) Or is it
- simply by tacit agreement that such stuff will not be widely distributed?
