  13.   After installing Ultrix 4.3 on my machines, I have found that
  14. sendmail no longer works like it did under Ultrix 3.1.  In fact, it
  15. doesn't work for any version of Ultrix 4.2 or higher.  Here's the
  16. relevant portion of our /etc/sendmail.cf:

  18. # The $w CLASS can be used to define "nicknames" for the local host.
  19. # These are alternate names that other systems may use to direct mail

  31. where /etc/hostmx is a file containing the name of the various
  32. machines which have mx records pointing to our mailer.  Correct
  33. behavior is for the mailer to recognize that it is to accept mail for
  34. all the hosts listed in /etc/hostmx.

  36.   Now under Ultrix 3.1  (Sendmail5.57/Ultrix2.4-C), this works fine.
  37. But with the sendmail 5.65/Ultrix3.0-C version it doesn't work.  So, I
  38. grabbed a copy of the non-IDA sendmail sources from uunet and compiled
  39. them -- guess what!  They don't work either.  Anybody got a clue as to
  40. why they don't work?
