  20. I've had the same problem. I tried to use sendmail with our generic
  21. sendmail.cf which we use on our Sequent Balance 8000 and all our
  22. HP9000/[78]?? machines, but got stuck on the rebuild of the aliasfile,
  23. it always complaint that the users weren't local to this machine.
  24. I suspect the shadow password routines are messing things up (we are
  25. running PTX 1.4.0).

  32. And so did we. We installed smail and tried to add add some MX records
  33. which point to our domain-mail-master, but this confused our
  34. domain-mail-master in such a way that I had to remove the MX records
  35. again. I now use a small shell script (with the queryprogram driver)
  36. as temporary solution.

  38. I know that this isn't the solution you were hoping for, but maybe
  39. this is a hint for the smail developpers that there may be something
  40. wrong with the bind driver.
