  12. The FTP server that the mime overview is on was broken this weekend.
  13. It is up again.  In hopes of avoiding any confusion, the original
  14. announcement of the MIME Overview follows:

  18. In order to promote interest in MIME I have written an overview of
  19. MIME that is a gentler introduction than the RFC.  It begins with a
  20. two page overview of what MIME is and what it is good for.  The
  21. remainder of the document describes the technical details of MIME.
  22.  
  23. The mime overview is available in two forms: postscript and ASCII.  I
  24. recommend the postscript version as being more readable version.
  25. Both versions of the mime overview are available by anonymous ftp from
  26. adad.premenos.sf.ca.us.  They are in the /pub directory.  The
  27. postscript version is in a file called mime.ps.  The ASCII version is
  28. in a file called mime.txt.
