  34. Yep - I had a dial-up ppp link running when I did this (ran a telnet
  35. session in another window).

  37. Oddly enough, I tried another package (the ftp.pl package by
  38. Alan R. Martello <al@ee.pitt.edu>) and this comes up with the error

  40.     Cannot open ftp to gate.demon.co.uk [21]
  41.     Couldn't open host 'gate.demon.co.uk'

  43. even though the ppp link was up.

  45. All these packages use chat2.pl - is there anything I would need to
  46. set up on our Sun for chat.pl to work (I've just installed chat2.pl as
  47. it comes in /usr/local/lib/perl).

  49. If I can't get this working,  I'm going to have to use expect !!  ;-)
