  17. I've just installed Gene Spaffords ftpget package, so that we could
  18. queue ftp transfers overnight.
  19.  
  20. It doesn't seem to work, and I don't know enough about ftp and the
  21. internet to find out why.

  23. We have a sun sparc II with 4.1.1B, perl 4.035, and a dial up ppp
  24. connection to demon.co.uk.  Ftp and telnet work fine (eg: I can do
  25.  
  26.     ftp gate.demon.co.uk
  27.     
  28. and do anon ftp with no problems.  However, running the following:
  29.  
  30.     enterprise:[~pete] % ftpls -l gate.demon.co.uk  /pub
  31.  
  32. gives me:

  34.     Unable to connect to gate.demon.co.uk ftp port: Connection timed out 
  35.     at /usr/local/bin/ftpls line 48.
