- I think you need to propose a simple format that could be adopted by the
- various FAQ maintainers. Tom Haapanen and I reworked the Windows FAQ because I
- wrote a macro to translate it into Windows Help format. The same thing is
- necessary for all the other FAQs. You need at least a 2 level structure. Most
- FAQs are not just lists of questions. They have at least one, and sometimes
- more levels of sections which categorise the questions. In fact, the Windows
- FAQ has several levels. WE solved the problem by moving to Word for Windows
- where we could use styles to good effect. If you want to stick within the
- confines of straight text, then you should require a simple markup language to
- define the hierarchies.
