  11. I've heard of, and seen, the effect known as a "first dirivitive" (sp). Can 
  12. anyone fill me in on how this operation is done? Is it a simple convolve 
  13. matrix?

  15. The way I understand it, the difference between adjacent pixels is taken as 
  16. the color for the pixel in question, but, whenever I attempt this operation, 
  17. the result is less than desireable.

  19. Any help would be greatly appreciated? (ie. reference, source, description)
