- In order to teach some 3d graphics principles we would like to have students
- modify a very simple CAD package written using PHIGS(+). It only needs to be
- very basic, perhaps only supporting lines in 3d, allowing them to be edited
- and attached to a structure. Point entry via pick or snap using a mouse,
- save and restore structure archive, and a small range of viewpoints.
-
- Before I go ahead and write this, I wondered if anyone knows of an existing
- public domain, freeware or GNU package that would be suitable? It doesn't
- matter if its a lot more complex than we need provided it is well written
- (with enough comments to understand it).
-
- Alternatively perhaps someone knows of a book with an example of this kind?
