- ok.. I've done my own digging and come up empty. Now an appeal to the net.
-
- I'm looking for a PD/shareware/free-in-some-form layout package that
- runs, at minimum on SGI Irises, and ideally, is X-based.
-
- By layout, I don't mean anything as fancy as Aldus PageMaker. Just something
- that can read in several images in a reasonable way, do some dynamic
- resizing, cropping, cut 'n paste, rotation, perhpas a few simple editing
- features, like color replacement, balancing, and maybe a little
- titling/caption ability.
-
- Nothing too fancy. Postscript would be lovely, not absolutely required.
- A nice GUI would be a plus as well, since the primary users will be
- scientists putting together transparencies for talks, etc.
-
- I've seen NCSA's Layout and Image software, and while it's the right spirit,
- it's the wrong platform.
-
- Anyone got any suggestions?
-
- TIA.
