  11. I have just whipped up a reasonable TrueType Russian font using
  12. fontographer, the "Courier New" in windows, and my old Russian
  13. typewriter.  The characters are defined to match the CRS tables
  14. of Russian characters, which as far as I can tell match the 
  15. KOI-8 standard used in the former Soviet Union.

  17. If this group has some preferred FTP site, I'd be happy to zap
  18. this font up, although I'm not sure if it would be 100% legal
  19. to send the English characters, since they're copyrighted.  Alternately,
  20. I could create a "Russian-only" version with just my characters.

  22. Anyhow, now that I have a font editor, I plan to create an entire
  23. library of English-Russian fonts, based on the standard families and
  24. some of the nicer Russian familes (like "Izvestia," "25th Party Congress,"
  25. and "CPSU.")  Ant interest out there?  Any place to archive this
  26. stuff?
