- I am interested in using the "standard" fonts provided with TeX in other
- word processing applications (like Microsoft Word or Framemaker) on my
- Apple Macintosh and on SUN workstations.
-
- Any ideas if it is possible to convert these fonts into usual Postscript
- fonts (and Bitmap fonts for the MAC) or if it is possible to buy these
- fonts somewhere?
-
- By the way, I'm not a TeX-expert.
-
- Thanks in advance for any comments and sorry if this is a FAQ.
-
- All of the fonts commonly used in TeX, such as the Computer Modern,
- the AMS fonts, the LaTeX + SliTeX fonts, etc are available in ATM
- compatible Adobe Type 1 form for a variety of platforms including Mac,
- IBM PC, Unix & from Blue Sky Research in Portland Oregon or Y&Y in
- Carlisle Mass.
-
- One problem is that TeX fonts do not have a space character.
- You'll have to check whether this can be worked around in the particular
- font set you are interested in. TeX fonts also use the `control
- character range' 0 -- 31. But that is less of a problem.
