- Hello everyone,
-
- Our dept. is planning to add a computer literacy course to our curriculum.
- We would like to target undergraduates from as many different majors as
- possible for this campus-wide service course. We have similar course
- descriptions from a few universities and they are varied. We would like to
- hear from people out there in netland about their experiences in these
- courses. Specifically:
-
- 1. What topics should be included? Excluded?
- 2. Should BASIC be taught? Other languages?
- 3. Is a PC platform sufficient?
- 4. What should be emphasized more? Less?
- 5. How long should a lab session be to be adequate?
- 6. Textbooks to be used.
-
- and any other insightful suggestions/criticisms, etc. Email or postings
- are welcomed.
-
- Thanking everyone in advance.
