  25. Based on Hans' previous posts, I really think he knew that, and was 
  26. asking:
  27.    (1) does \ do anything in command mode?
  28.    (2) does mapping 'u' mess up other (seemingly unrelated) functions,
  29.        the way mapping space bar breaks the ~ function?

  31. BTW:
  32.  - is there a way to pipe just *1* line through a filter?  I find things like
  33. !jsome_command<return>
  34. always send two lines.  Also, is there an easy way to have *add* filtered
  35. output rather than have it replace the input?
