- Seems to me a semi-purpose-built architecture for programmable DSP
- filters would be a very useful alternative to either DSP processors
- or totally custom design, at least in applications where the _type_
- of filter to be used doesn't need to be maleable. Potentially, the
- performance, density, and/or cost could be better than the other
- available approaches.

- On the other hand, custom design with the right automation could be
- made to be easy enough that it's not an issue for large production runs.
- There is still the problem of development and prototyping, but this
- could be done in other ways.
