  10. I have an idea on using sound signals for a multimedia application.  I would 
  11. like to test my idea using the equipment I have.  I have a Creative Lab Sound Blaster 
  12. board.  I need to do some signal processing on the sound file.  My question is that
  13. 1) whether anyone knows what kind of analog to digital, digital to analog chips 
  14.    does the sound blaster have?
  15. 2) what kind of software can manipulate the files, assuming I can unpack them.
  16.    (I heard of PC DSP but never seen it in our bookstore.)
  17. 3) is it reasonable to do any signal processing using the Sound Blaster?  Am I
  18.    wasting my time and I should get another board?  What kind of quality am I
  19.    getting?
