- Most modems should work in Australia though my understanding is that it
- is illegal to _IMPORT_ telecommunications equipment (including modems)
- into Australia. (I imagine if you have the right permit, or the device
- is approved by AOTC (Telecom) the customs people might let it through -
- otherwise they may well confiscate it.)
