  31. Most modems should work in Australia though my understanding is that it 
  32. is illegal to _IMPORT_ telecommunications equipment (including modems) 
  33. into Australia. (I imagine if you have the right permit, or the device 
  34. is approved by AOTC (Telecom) the customs people might let it through - 
  35. otherwise they may well confiscate it.)

  37. Australia uses 240V (though I think Western Australia might be slightly 
  38. different)
