  12. The following was posted to the ZyXEL programmers' mailing list two weeks
  13. ago.  If you're working on some sort of programming project involving your
  14. ZyXEL (e.g. voice-mail apps, fax, etc.) please follow the directions
  15. below...and if you're not already a member of the mailing list, you
  16. should be!  Send mail to mckeeveb@sfu.ca to join!
  17.
  18. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19.
  20. In the process of collecting the responses for the mailing list and the
  21. fax to ZyXEL, I got a lot of feedback from programmers about the kinds of
  22. applications being worked on.  What we'd like to do now is compile a list
  23. of exactly what everyone's doing (and what they're planning to do), and
  24. how far along everyone is.
  25.
  26. A couple of reasons:
  27.
  28. + To avoid unncessary duplication of effort; and
  29. + To allow people with similar interests/projects to collaborate.
  30.     If I'm working on a voice-mail app for Windows, and you're working on
  31.     something similar, wouldn't it be great if we could share code and
  32.     ideas, rather than both of us struggling through in the dark?
  33. + So the network is aware of the kinds of applications that are available,
  34.   where to find them, and how to contact their authors.
  35.
  36. To that end, please cut off and fill out the following form, then mail it to
  37. me at radel@bach.udel.edu.  Please put "ZyXEL Project Registry" in the subject
  38. line so I can separate it from normal mail, and please send me a separate
  39. letter for each project you're working on or plan to work on in the future.
  40. Once I get enough responses, I'll compile the list and post it ocassionaly.
  41. PLEASE DON'T SEND YOUR RESPONSES TO THE MAILING LIST!
  42.
  43. Thanks, and happy modeming!
