  15. I'm trying to get a simple 2400 baud modem up and running on an  
  16. Intel 386 machine under AT&T SV R4 Unix, with no success so far.
  17.  
  18. After configuring the serial port via 'sysadm' appropriately
  19. a 'cu -l /dev/tty00' times out saying 'cannot access device tty00'
  20. after a while.
  21. However, the communication line seems to be obviously established
  22. since it's gonna start dialing.

  24. Is there anybody having any idea what could be going wrong?
  25. Are there differences between 3.2 and 4.0 concerning configuring,
  26. i.e. entries in 'Devices' and 'Systems' files?
