- Hi folks.
-
- I recently bought a 14.4 Eagle modem (through Prodigy) and have been
- relatively happy with it. Unfortunately, it's not COMPLETELY reliable with
- receiving faxes and it doesn't have voice mail capabilities.
-
- I just heard, however, that I can solve both these problems by supplementing
- my modem with the addition of a Complete Communicator card. With the $150
- rebate going on now, I have found that I can get a CC card for about $150 +
- shipping costs!
-
- Here are my questions to you:
- 1) Will I have any problems using both my 14.4 modem and the CC? Will I have
- to change com / IRQ settings, and if so, is this likely to be a prob with my
- MIDI card setup?
- 2) Assuming the CC *WILL* co-exist with my 14.4 modem, will the CC voice/data
- /fax built-in switcher accomodate an external modem?
- 3) Does anyone know of ANOTHER voice-mail card for under $199 that has as much
- to offer as the CC?
- 4) Is it true that CC ONLY offers customer support through a 900 number :-(
- 5) To date, I've heard only glowing praise for the reliability and wealth of
- features on the CC. Does anyone have any negative feedback on the CC?
-
- Please send responses privately. If there is public interest, I'd be happy to
- post information on the net.
-
- Thanks so much for your help!!!
