- Looking back or at the 11 modems I've had (I still own 5 of them).

- 1 1200 didn't have a jack....in fact the phone cable was hardwired.
- 2 1200 had jacks in parallel
- 3 2400s had jacks in parallel
- 1 2400 had a switched jack.
- I'm pretty sure all my remaining highspeed modems have switched jacks, though
- I haven't tried all of them. The Supra one definite does.
