  19. The Complete Communicator works just fine.  I have been using it here for
  20. FAX and Voice for some years.  (It used to sell for about $700; now they
  21. have a modem upgrade that lets it do 9600bps, and call it the "Complete
  22. Communicator Gold".)

  24. If you want to try it, call it at 604 681-6659, but be aware that if I
  25. am in, I will probably answer the phone and you will have to call again.

  27. The way it is set up is for a "default to FAX".  What that means is, if the
  28. voice caller doesn't have a TT fone, he will get the FAXmodem.

  30. If you do have a TT fone, the system will tell you to "hit any key, NOW",
  31. which then drops you to the voice-mail system.  (A remote FAX machine
  32. doesn't understand the voice, so it waits and within 20sec gets a FAX tone.)

  34. To be able to get to the Data modem, the remote caller would have to
  35. hit a code to do that.  (Or, you could set it up to default to the Data
  36. modem, or to default to voice.)

  39. to ask... and NO, I don't sell them... just ZyXEL and Telebit and EPROM
  40. programmers, to help support the free aspect of this site.
