- You may have read a memo, supposedly written by USR President and Chairman
- Casey Cowell, which announces the release of the USR 'tri-standard' modem.
-
- The document was not written by Mr. Cowell nor has USR announced such a
- modem.
-
- The memo, dated Jan. 15, 1992, purports that a new modem capable of
- 39600 bps rates has been released. It contains a great deal of text
- buffered from our BBS system and has been posted primarily in Europe and
- Germany where it appears it originated.
-
- USRobotics typically announces new products in press releases issued by
- our public relations department.
-
- Regards,
- John
