  13. A friend of mine is having a problem with his Zyxel. This has probably
  14. been asked a million times already but I don't archive the group, so
  15. could some kind net soul please help us out.

  23. Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there was using a ZyXEL U-1496 and if
  24. so has had any problem with it being unable to disconnect after a user
  25. has logged off?
  26. I have tried about everything that I can imagine, just when I think I
  27. get it right the problem comes back, the funny thing is that it doesn't
  28. always happen, I have noticed that it's more previlent with 2400 baud
  29. modems as apposed to Higher speeds.
  30. I have gone as far as +++ATH or ATH0 or +++ATH0 and it goes on, funny
  31. thing is that I do notice that the DTR light on the modem does go off
  32. for a second or so but the OH light ( Off Hang ) will not be effected.

  34. I hope someone has some advise as I'm getting very frustrated.

  36. Oh yes, It only started happening after swapping from Searchlight
  37. software to PCBoard, by the way there written setup for this modem
  38. doesn't work!!!
