- I am trying to help someone with a modem problem. They have a Multitech
- Multimodem 224 link tying together two systems about 30 miles apart. The
- whole system is configured to automatically link up whenever the phone is
- dialed (manually). Lately, they have been experiencing unexplainable
- problems. About 2 to 5 times an hour, it just stops sending data. They
- have to redial the modem (that is all, they turn off/reset none of the
- equipment) and then it will link right back up and everything is OK.
-
- I am trying to get them to determine if the modems indicates loss of
- Term Ready or Carrier Detect, but they don't believe it does.
-
- They have already had the local phones guys out to check everything out.
- No result.
-
- Any ideas, suggestions, or help appreciated.
