- I wonder if anybody here could help me out:
- I'm trying to get a definition of some database terms for a friend who,
- although he's worked with databases in the past, hasn't come across these terms
- before.. if anybody here has any free time and could mail me just a simple
- definition of each, I'd be much appreciative..

- the terms are: simulated annealing, database mining, and greedy algorithm. They
- appear in an announcement for a presentation by Bala Iyer at Santa Cruz that is
- coming up in the future.
