  13. I wonder if anybody here could help me out:
  14.  I'm trying to get a definition of some database terms for a friend who,
  15. although he's worked with databases in the past, hasn't come across these terms
  16. before.. if anybody here has any free time and could mail me just a simple
  17. definition of each, I'd be much appreciative..

  19. the terms are: simulated annealing, database mining, and greedy algorithm. They
  20. appear in an announcement for a presentation by Bala Iyer at Santa Cruz that is
  21. coming up in the future.
