  11. Posted for a friend with an oracle 'problem':

  14. Our HP mini (running Oracle) crashed, and trashed the file system. The machine 
  15. was rebooted, and a backed up version of all the system and application files
  16. (including the oracle files) was re-installed. Everything works fine, except
  17. that when trying to open an oracle database, the following message is produced:
  18.  
  19. ORA-01122: database file xxx failed verification check.
  20.  
  21. The information in the database file is inconsistent with the information in 
  22. the configuration file.
  23.  
  24. Note:
  25. When the files were restored, they were restored with their original date/time,
  26. access modes, etc. 
  27.  
  28. Any help would be be appreciated. Thanks.
