  13. facts are facts. The i860 is the fastest processor out there. They list
  14. full assembly source for all their most acclaimed benchamrks with this chip
  15. (FFT, shading, zbuffer assist, etc.) Joe Programmer can type in the assembly
  16. and run it timing it with wallclock seconds. The intel i860 is GODAMN FAST
  17. and if had faster interrupt latency, and a superb optimizing C compiler,
  18. would put all doubters in their place. At a given cycle, the integer unit,
  19. the floating point adder pipeline, and the floatingpoint multiply
  20. pipeline, can each complete one instruction. At 40 Mhz, you begin to see
  21. that a claim of 40 Mips is MORE THAN FUCKING HONEST, and that a claim of 
  22. 80Mflops IS ALSO NO LIE!!!!!!
