  16. A fair question.  The answer is the following.  Because a well
  17. written browse util can combine useful information from two (or even
  18. more) related files.  I suggested this (for INDEX with descriptions
  19. and _dir.lst with file sizes and dates) to Michael Sanders who is
  20. writing an update of his Garbo browser.

  25. Grep is very useful, but it does not give you the directory
  26. information from the standard Garbo and SIMTEL20 file lists, nor (on
