  22. In the first place, it doesn't map the keypad at all. For my part I use the
  23. keypad in mail and in EVE. You can modify the MAC and PAD definitions, but this
  24. is a pain. I had to look at my old comm programs which DID map it to see what
  25. the right codes should be.

  27. Second, many comm programs allow you to change the backspace key in a menu or
  28. for each individual directory entry. What if I want to use VT102 on different
  29. systems which want different backspace codes?

  31. Telemate is a great program, but its not just a configuration problem.
  32. VT102 is just not that well implemented in comparison with other programs.
