  28.     I've just gotten done adding about 15 or so files (they're the ones at
  29. the bottom of this list... jb added the others) on this typical January 
  30. Saturday in Michigan (muddy, rainy, foggy, wierd).... Most of these
  31. files are updates of older versions, so you might want to look through
  32. the list and see if there's a new version that might replace something
  33. old on your hard drive!  There are updates for BBEdit, AutoDoubler, 
  34. MacGhostScript and GateKeeper.  There are also a couple LPR/lpd utilities
  35. in here (there's been quite a thread going through some UseNet newsgroups
  36. about these.  I'm happy we can be one of the places where you can find these
  37. goodies!).
  38.   
  39.     In a couple weeks, I hope to have excellent news concerning our 
  40. currently very limited ftp service (so be patient).  Don't forget to use
  41. AFS access instead of ftp if you have it, and our Gopher server never
  42. has any limits -- just Gopher to the machine "gopher.uis.itd.umich.edu"
  43. and look in the "Special Topics" section.  Both Sumex and our archives
  44. can be found.  To get submissions to us, you can ftp the files (or "cp"
  45. them via AFS) into our incoming directory, or you can e-mail the files
  46. to "macgifts@mac.archive.umich.edu".  If you e-mail the files, they will
  47. be automatically redistributed to the Info-Mac archives, Comp.Binaries.Mac,
  48. and some other archives across the ocean (so please include some header text
  49. describing what it is that you're mailing us).
