  15. an interesting issue regarding the use of the world-wide internet. Obviously, 
  16. this message is intended for French speaking/reading community only but we 
  17. all get a glimpse at it and most of us can't make head nor tail of it. Even 
  18. though I may not be able to respond to this article I might still be 
  19. interested in understanding it if only to find out what Patrick is up to. If 
  20. we all decide to submit articles in our native tongue then surely the 
  21. usefulness of the internet breaks down, we lose a great facility for 
  22. communicating with the international community. If there is a requirement for 
  23. native language submissions, then why not do so in a 'native language' only 
  24. newsgroup? I understand that not everybody likes English as the 
  25. 'international' language, personally I would prefer it were Strine. However, 
  26. we have to have one, and English is the incumbent.

  30. PS for those non-Australians, Strine is one of the 'languages' of Australia, 
  31. an abortion of English where all words are reduced to their least number of 
  32. phonetic characters able to convet meaning and all words are run in together. 
  33. For example 'avagoodweekend'.
