- No, instead the government does a bunch of micro-policy bullshit.
- They tell auto industry "your cars must get x MPG by 199y", large
- cities say "today is a no burn day", instead of just getting at the
- root of the problem, the price of gas. If you raise the price of
- gas, GM will put out efficient cars, people will car pool more,
- mass transit will become more cost effictive.

-
- Were not talking $5 a gallon. We're talking about phasing in over a
- number of years, with the idea that people & communities will start to
- adjust. So that William Kucharski can drive down to the Conteninal in
- Denver, so I can go to Idaho to kayak, instead of on transportation of
- Sweedish bula-bula wood tables. Also keep in mind that transportation
- is a built in cost of imported products.

-
- No because the disease has not exceeded my basic requirments to
- be a problem. Gasoline has exceeded my basic requirements to
- be a problem. Remember when we run out of petrol we will need
- to find a substitute for gas, plastics, & nylon, with what I would
- expect to be a period of great instability.
