- a mojority of former president bush's energy plan was to allow drillin
- in the Alaskan wildlife refuge and push coal smeltering in north western
- Colorado and north eastern Utah in order to "be less dependant on foreigh
- sources". This will destroy some thus-far-untouched real estate that animals
- are currently enjoying. Then, when that's gone, we have an even greater
- problem with dependance on foreign sources. He didn't much mention research
- in renewable sources. (cause all his friends are in the oil biz.)
- We'll have to see what Clinton comes up with.

- If the government let the market determine oil prices, they would be comprable
- to european prices (i.e. $3 - $5/ gallon). If they aren't going to let the
- market achieve those prices, they should achieve them through taxes.
