  26. I was away for the last few days and missed the replies that were
  27. posted to my original article. The replies have since been deleted/cancelled
  28. on our system. I therefore don't know how the discussion got
  29. to this point.

  31. Here's what I'm looking for: I want to purchase a dog that will
  32. be used to specifically hunt pheasant. Yes, the dog will be used for hunting.
  33. My preference is for a trained pointing dog (e.g., vizsla, weimaraner,
  34. german shorthair, etc.) Besides being a hunter, I also expect
  35. this dog to become a companion and a member of the family.

  37. I couldn't find a suitable dog in the area that I live in, so I decided
  38. to geographically widen my search by posting to this group. I'm puzzled
  39. as to how this simple request for information could cause so much 
  40. controversy?
