- Using Ibid Plus and NB4, I found that Select would not work across all
- fields until I saved the *.dat files I had copied from NB3.1 in NB4.
- The import function for *.dat files in the NB4 menu system did not
- write the new files, it just changed the old *.dat files to *.bak
- files. But once I Saved or Stored the old *.dat files within NB4,
- Select worked as it should.
-
- If more than one person is adding to a bibliography, one solution is
- to create a special database under Ibid Plus for each contributor.
- Then the new additions of each contributor can be added to a master
- database which is then copied back to each contributor's machine. The
- same method will work for adding items you record in a notebook
- computer to the master file in your desktop. Just copy the *.dat file
- in your special database into the master database under the name
- NBBIB.DAT and update. I think I also have removed the ID numbers, but
- I am not sure that is necessary.
