- We are currently investigating the choices between the two COBOL
- compilers that IBM is offering as a replacement to OS/VS COBOL.
- Specifically, COBOL II and COBOL/370.
- I saw the mail items on this that were circulated earlier and I
- was hoping that would blossom into a full-blown discussion.
- Has anyone out there chosen/installed COBOL/370? If so, what
- pitfalls have you encountered? What should we watch out for as we
- move in that direction? Would you recommend that we go straight to
- COBOL/370 or move to COBOL II initially, then convert to COBOL/370 at
- a later date?
- Any information you have would be most useful.
- Thanks.
