- Lines: 24
-
- We presently run VM/SP release 5 on a 4361, and are looking to get a
- 4381-PO3 in here in a couple of months to replace the 4361. Due to
- moving to a larger box, our outlay for VM/SP and VS Fortran were going
- to increase quite a bit, so it seemed to make sense for us to join the
- HESC. I was looking forward to dropping 4 Waterloo compilers
- and picking up the VS versions of them to run with our MUSIC/SP system.
- (which supports the VS versions of the C, PASCAL, COBOL, etc. compilers)
- The information I had from IBM on the HESC turns out to be
- ancient, I discover while perusing the IBM-HESC list archives, and a
- call to my SE confirms this.
-
- Since VM/SP has been dropped from HESC, there are no longer any versions
- of VM in HESC group I-A, so I'm wondering what kind of options I have
- available to me now.
-
- Any suggestions?
