  12. I'm  experiencing dialup (switched) connection problems on our 7171.

  14. 7171 ports set to 1A00 - 7,E,1 autoconfigure, autobaud
  15. Modem's buffer and MNP off. Will accept 300 to 9600 baud.

  17. User's using higher than 2400 baud are reporting that after the
  18. 'connect' msg is received, the "TERMINAL TYPE:" prompt fails to appear
  19. 60-80% of the time after hitting <CR>. This also happens to a
  20. lesser degree at 2400 sometimes.

  22. Without getting into too many details at this point, has anyone else
  23. experienced a similar problem and maybe know why this is happening?
  24. I do have a datascope and test modems/ports setup, as I have been
  25. looking into this now for many weeks. I'm beginning to suspect that
  26. the 7171 ports are just too darn sensitive, and lock up on me.
