- For the purposes of preparing heavy atom derivatives we would
- like to synthesize dimercury acetate. Sprang and Fletterick
- (J. Mol. Biol. (1979), 131, 523-551) report what seems to be a
- simple procedure for doing this. However the compound they prepare
- is of low purity. Has anyone improved on their method, or does a
- superior synthesis exist ? Any help would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks.
