  12. A format change of Steven and Jorja Henikoff's BLOCKS database required an
  13. update to the Apple Macintosh program MacPattern. The new version v2.1 will
  14. work with release 5 and 6 (and hopefully later ones) of BLOCKS.

  16. MacPattern is a Mac program for the functional analysis of new protein
  17. sequences. These can be analysed for the occurrences of PROSITE patterns or
  18. similarities to protein blocks taken from the BLOCKS database, as well as
  19. for statistically significant sequence segments.
