- A 6-car CalTrain using present rolling stock would weigh 465
- tons. The loco has 26 tons/axle and the cars 15 tons/axle.

- I agree that a ferry would not be particularly fast (I've
- estimated the Golden Gate ones at about 20 mph), which amounts to
- about 15-20 min travel time to SF. But aside from that, the Bay Area
- ferries are rather pleasant vehicles to ride in.
