- The Institute of HeartMath is a non-profit educational and
- research organization located in Boulder Creek, CA. HeartMath
- is a process of self-empowerment, mental and emotional self-
- management, that has been researched, proven out and
- practiced for more than a decade and is taught in seminar
- format. This study will research the effectiveness of the
- HeartMath system in enhancing immune system function and
- improving the quality of life. Participants will receive
- techniques for self-maintenance of a healthier immune system.
- Guidance will be provided for physical, emotional, mental,
- and spiritual self-healing and well-being. The Institute has
- several projects under way to research the beneficial effects
- that self-generated feelings of love, care and appreciation
- have on the immune system. Your participation will help you
- to:
-
- * Integrate your heart with your mind and emotions to produce
- more balanced and efficient actions and reactions
- * Access intuitive intelligence with reliability, not just in
- flashes
- * Learn how to listen to and follow your heart
- * Empower your system on physical, mental, emotional and
- spiritual levels
- * Achieve coherence of your cardio-electricities, resulting
- in inner peace and harmony on all levels
-
- HeartMath researchers have been able to measure, record and
- correlate the human electrical system to different mental and
- emotional states. The research has shown that when
- individuals self-manage their mental and emotional energies,
- it beneficially affects their heart and brain electricities
- which in turn affects hormonal secretions and their
- perceptions of life. The Institute is also involved with the
- development of tonal patterns that appear to harmonically
- link with the DNA to enhance T-cell strength in people with
- AIDS and other immune disorders.
-
- The work of the Institute and its founder, Doc Lew Childre,
- was described in a half-page article in 1/6/93 issue of USA
- Today.
-
- If you would like to participate in Study #2, please call the
- Institute to obtain an application which is due by February
- 17, 1993. For more information, call Wendy Rickert or
- Euphrasia Carroll at (408)-338-8700. (Participants must make
- a commitment to attend all three sessions.)
